The governor of Lakes State Rin Tueny Mabor has promoted Cuei-adukan and Abien-ajok Bomas as new Payams of Rumbek central county.
Through a gubernatorial decree, the decision by Governor Tueny made Rumbek central county to obtain 7 Payams.
The Executive chief of Monytiek section of Rumbek central county, sultan Lueth Marial Buoc told The Nile Witness that my appreciation goes to governor Rin Tueny for promoting Abien-ajok and Cuei-adukan as new administrative Payams in Rumbek central county.
He said that the people who lives in Abien-ajok are all communities and not only Monytiek section and since it is now promoted as a Payam nobody will segregate anyone and we shall live peacefully as one community.
He said currently, the Payams under Rumbek central county as 7 Payams instead of being 5 Payams and this is a very appreciation and thank to government of Lakes State.
” Our issues which has been happening,have now stopped. What is left for us today is how to carry out development”, he said.
The paramount chief of Rumbek central county, representing Cuei-adukan Payam Sultan Sebit Kuac Manyiel said that after promoting Cuei-adukan as a Payam,there shall be development.
” There will be a survey,and allotment of plots to everyone who wants to build his house in Cuei-adukan Payam”, he said. ” In the past, our services usually go to our mother Payam of Amongpiny Payam.
But currently, services like hospitals, schools, police stations, and Payam office will come directly to Cuei-adukan Payam”.
He said in the past we were having no police station, schools and hospital but now those things will be done in the Payam.
Madit Mawet Aramweer, a youth representative in Cuei-adukan Payam said that the community is happy with a promotion of Cuei-adukan as a Payam.
” The community and the intellectuals appreciate the steps being taken by governor Rin Tueny to issue a decree that promote Cuei-adukan and Abien-ajok as new Payams of Rumbek central county”, he said .
The community of panyon are still proud of their former Payam of Amongpiny Payam despite the split and we will continue to be one and to embrace peace and togetherness as one community of Rumbek central county.
Mabor Paul Kodi said that they are specially in need of 2 additional Payams for Rumbek central county and that’s Cuei-adukan and Abien-ajok under Amongpiny and Jiir Payams.
” Yesterday, the governor issued a decree to promote the 2 areas as Payams and this is one of the best decision for human resources development and we want to appreciate the governor and his cabinet that recognize our status of becoming new Payams”, he said.
To the entire population of Jiir Payam , Amothnhom,and Monytiek for their wellbeing since they were living together which is a good spirits and that’s why today they have got another chance of a new Payam.
He said the area of Abien-ajok Payam is an enough land which can accommodate everyone from different communities of Rumbek central county – Nyang, Monytiek, Panyon and Amothnhom and Athoi even some Jur bel community.
