The new leadership of the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), led by President Francis Amin, presented its strategic plan for transforming football in the country to the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Wednesday.
SSFF said in a statement on its social media handle that the delegation, which included Second Vice President Deng Abdulrahman and Secretary General Victor Lawrence Lual, met with Minister Dr. Joseph Geng Akech and other top ministry officials.
According to the statement on its Facebook page SSFF stated that the plan focuses on several key areas including; Successful organization of the Premier League, Capacity building for football officials through training.
Others growth program are’ Infrastructure development to support the sport and Strengthening transparency and accountability in football management.
President Amin also pledged to address challenges facing the national team and implement reforms to improve South Sudan’s performance in regional and international competitions.
For his part Youth and Sports Minister, Joseph Geng Akechcongratulated the new SSFF leadership and committed his ministry’s full support to their efforts.
He emphasized the importance of strong cooperation between the federation, clubs, sports officials, and government institutions to promote football nationwide.
This meeting held at the SSFF Head office in Nyakuorn West signifies a new collaborative effort between the SSFF and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to advance football in South Sudan.
