Uganda deploy more troops after attacking South Sudan army base in Kajokeji County.

Kajokeji county commissioner Wani Jackson Mule said that the Uganda People Defense Forces (UPDF) has deployed more troops at its Borders with South Sudan.

This followed the Monday attacked on South Sudan People Defense Fores (SSPDF) base in Bori Boma in Kajo-Keji county of Central Equatoria state.

In a statement to the media Mule revealed that the UPDF has deployed more soldiers at the border causing more panic to the public.

“People are in Fear, the Uganda forces have come with more troops and weapons to the areas near Kajo-keji, it is so bad” the commissioner said.

He expressed that heavy deployments just in areas of Kajo-KejiCounty violate the sovereignty of South Sudan.

The commissioner explained that the UPDF forces have deployed in Ngorbeleng, Merewa and Kolurunga with intention to grab those areas.

“This UPDF have been planning to grab our land but we rejected it that is why they wanted to deploy more and threatened us” he said

He called on South Sudan government and SSPDF to intervene and deploy the forces in the area to protect the Citizens.

“We appeal to the SSPDF to come and deploy to protect or talk with the UPDF so that the withdraw from Kajo-Keji, it is not their land” he said.

He called on the residents to remain calm citing that the government is committed to protect the people.

Recently SSPDF spokesperson Maj General Lul Ruai Koang called for claim citing that the UPDF and the SSPDF have formed a committed to resolve the disputes.

He added that both leadership come talked on possibilities of ending the tension.
