CES salutes liberators, vows to spearhead service delivery

The governor of Central Equatoria State Rabi Mujung Emmanuel has sent revolutionary greets and vowed to spearhead service delivery in the state.

In his Independence Day message, the governor reiterated commitment toward peace and unity.

South Sudan celebrates Independence Day on 9 July, the day in 2011 when it separated from Sudan to become an independent nation.

This was the result of a two-decades-long civil war between north and south in which many thousands of people perished.

As the country Celebrate the 14th Independence Dayanniversary today, the governor expressed that the day reminds South Sudanese of their sacrifices for self-ruled.

The governor expressed in the statement that despites challenge the government remain committed to deliver necessary services to the people of South Sudan.

“We are prioritizing infrastructure development, health care, and education while enhancing disaster response mechanisms as essential rights of every citizen,” the governor said in a statement.

He added that day would remind South Sudanese of their previous unity and how they scarified for common goal.

“Today, we renew our commitment to the values for which they stood: peace, unity, justice, and national dignity,” he expressed.

The governor acknowledged the role of patriots and the peace lovers.

“I salute all leaders and citizens who continue to patriotically divert their efforts to peace-building and nation-building.” He said

Mujung urged the Citizens to focus on peace and unity while the state government continue to suffer delivery.

“Our shared destiny remains our shared commitment. Happy 14th Independence Day. May God bless Central Equatoria State and the Republic of South Sudan,” he said
