The community of Kuac Ayok of Gogrial West county in Warrap State are mourning the death of Late Mayol Akeer who died on Wednesday due to over feeding.

The late passed as a result of over-drinking milk ahead of Dinka annual fattening competition.

The incident was followed by the burial at the cattle camp as dictated by the customs and traditions.

The late Mayol Akeer has been crowned the winner of 2025 competition celebrated by the whole community.

According to the practice, the burial takes place in the cattle camp after the selection of the second position.

In Dinka culture, young men undergo consecutive three months drinking milk before they come out for the fattening competition.

This remains as one of the most important and historical events practice by Dinka tribe across the country.
