Army General Visits Morobo, Assure Security Stabilisation

SSPDF Major General John Lual has assured the Citizens of Morobo county of the government’s commitment to restoring stability in the county.

In a statement issued by the Morobo County Press unit, General Lual held a meeting with traditional chiefs in the presence of Morobo County Commissioner Honorable Charles Data and Security Coordinator Moro Isaac.

It underlined the General highlighted the need for immediate civil military dialogue to strengthen trust between communities and the security forces, stressing that absolute safety for civilians remains a top priority for the government.

Major General Lual noted that the government is working on plans to stabilize security in the county, which has in recent times witnessed security concerns that disrupted the lives of ordinary people.

Commissioner Charles Data welcomed the visit with gratitude, describing it as a long-awaited intervention.

He said the people of Morobo have been yearning for greater government attention on security issues and expressed hope that the General’s assurances would translate into lasting peace and safety for the population.

Security Coordinator Moro Isaac also reiterated the importance of continued collaboration between security organs and local leadership to protect citizens and allow communities to return to normal life.

The chiefs of Morobo, in attendance, pledged their support for the government’s efforts, saying that peace and stability are essential for the development of the county.
