The Council of Ministers of Central Equatoria State (CES) in its first meeting of 2025 has called on security forces in Morobo and Kajo-Keji Counties to remain vigilant in protecting civilians and their properties.
The meeting was chaired by Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony and held at the State Secretariat.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Acting Minister of Information and Communication, Jacob Aligo Lo-Ladu, emphasized the need for heightened security alertness in areas affected by activities of holdout groups.
“These groups are disrupting the daily lives of civilians. The Council strongly encourages our security personnel to remain vigilant and committed to protecting the people,” Aligo stated.
He further noted that, during the security briefing, the Council decided that Central Equatoria State will commemorate the International Day of Peace on September 19, 2025, in Terekeka County.
“The Council also approved the theme for this year’s Peace Day celebration, which will be officially announced at a later date,” he added.
