The Undersecretary in the Ministry of General Education and Instruction has reiterated commitment to end Exams malpractice. .

Mabil Kacuol expressed that the team at the Ministry remain committed to ensure that Exams likeages commonly known as ‘Machot’ never surface again.

“We will work together to ensure that deal away with Machot (Exams leakages)” Mabil said.

He applauded former General Education Minister Awut Deng Acuil and the team for fighting hard to end‘Machot’ citing that such strength continuous.

“We shall continue work hard to ensure that ‘Machot’ or exams leakage does not exist in this country, it is affecting quality of our Education” he said.

Due to lack of leakages, over 40% of the 45000 candidates who sat for 2023-2024 South Sudan Certificate of Secondary Education(SSCSE) failed,
With support from the team at the Ministry, all forms of malpractices will come to past.

“So, you will definitely be rest assured that I will uphold the principles of transparency, accountability, and integrity in our operations” he said.

Hon. Kachuol Mabil, the newly undersecretary promised to uphold the principles of transparency, accountability and integrity

“For the last 10 years of my professional service in various capacities, I have promoted transparency, accountability and integrity which resulted in successful crucial donor projects particularly in the field of social protection” he said.

On his part Kuyuk Abol Kuyuk Minister of General Education and Instruction urged all the staff to work as a team in the fight against Examination leakages commonly known as Machot in Juba.

He expressed that anybody would be involved in Exams leakages will face serious punishment.
Recently President Salva Kiir appointed Kacuol MabilPiok as the new Undersecretary for South Sudan’s Ministry of General Education and Instruction.

Ms. Piok, a lecturer at the University of Juba’s Centre for Peace and Development Studies, fills the position left vacant after Kuyuk Abol Kuyuk was promoted to Minister of General Education and Instruction replacing Awut Deng Acuil.
