The administration of Kiir Mayardit Woman hospital has appealed to the government and its partners to restore electricity supply.

The Director general of Kiir Mayardit women’s hospital Dr.Joshua Jeremiah during a press conference called on the government to address the issue as it affects service delivery.

“I am urging our partners and the leadership of the ministry of health and also the State government, to come and support us with the issue of power because many machine are modern machines in the hospital.” Said Jeremiah

He said the challenges of running water has been persistent for a while and the hospital cannot be achieved its goals without provision.

“We’re faced with a lot of difficulties, if you want to rescue the patients for any emergency rescue operations specially women who use to come during the night time and that time we don’t have power to receive our patients and it is a very big challenge when we know the situation of our country.” He added

The generator that the facility had in most cases lack fuel and it is not working.

“we are using solar panels but solar panels is very weak and it works for few hours per a day. But if we have generator we can operate all the department specially the radiator and operations machine and x-ray machine and it is very important. But due to lack of power they are not working at the moment. Said Jeremiah

The hospital is being ran by a government led support and also it is supported by other NGOs.

The facility was established in 2014 and actually it was under the project of the government through China Aid
