The lake state chairperson of employee justice chamber has resigned to  support  Stephen Par interim Chairperson SPLM-IO in replacing Dr. Riek Machar

Through a letter addressed to the governor, Majok Maluong Chuor said he resigned concerning the crisis happenings in SPLM-IO party and that thing could not allow us to work like before with the leadership of Lakes State.

“For us who are loyalists to the party qnd to our chairman, his excellency the first vice president Dr. Riek Machar, It’s not our understanding to join the interim leadership team who betrayed our chairman”. Said Maluong

He said when our chairman of SPLM-IO was arrested in Juba it happened a new leadership which called themselves interim leadership pop up and divide the party and that they were abit recognized by the government.

He said they abstained themselves and follow the case and the reason as why our chairman Dr. Riek Machar and the rest of the government officials from the SPLM-IO members were arrested.

“This is a reason, I resigned because of the most leaders among who are loyal to Dr. Riek Machar are being mistreated. Some are arrested in Lakes State and majority of them are dismissed or sent out of their duties and this is the reason I resigned.” He reiterated

The interim leadership of SPLM-IO had indicated that those loyal to Par are safe in the government and if you are loyal to real leadership under Dr. Riek Machar than the SPLM-IO interim leadership of Par Kuol will collaborate with the government and they can arrest or send you out.

He said the reason why governor Rin Tueny failed to make reshuffling is because president Kiir was the one who rejected their nominations.

” Surely, it is going to happen because governor Rin Tueny want to reshuffle me out of his government because I am an SPLM-IO supporter of Dr. Riek Machar and not Par Kuol SPLM-IO interim leadership “, he said.

He said he does not fear arrest nor remove but he is comfortable with that SPLM-IO interim leadership of Par Kuol.

He said he decided to resign from the government to avoid finger pointing always with usually questions that are you supporting SPLM-IO interim leadership of Par Kuol or you are from Riek Machar.

“If someone who sent me to come and work here in Lakes State as a chairman of employees grievances chamber commission is arrested and is no longer doing his duty as first vice president and instead of me working than I just resigned and stay at home”.

His message is that the need for the implementation of revitalized peace agreement be adhered to by releasing first vice president Dr. Riek Machar because this case is so political motivated.
