The governor of Warrap state Ambassador Bol Wek Agoth has vowed to improve army’s welfare during the implementation of state of emergency in the region.

The governor also extended a call to all the inhabitants of Warrap state for restoration of peace citing cooperation with the security forces.

The presence of the army at Majaktiit did not attract cooperation from the locals for enforcement of law and order.

In most of the occasions, they accused the army of arbitrary arrest and torture as well as looting of their properties.

Some argued that some members of the army forces engaged in commercializing ammunitions to the armed conflict.

In respond, the governor pledged maximum support aimed at boosting capacity of the barrack to effectively address the rampant insecurity.

Wek added that, combating criminal activities in the state remains the overall goal of his administration toward peacefully and stable state.

Division 11 is the only army’s division in fragile Warrap state.

This barrack situated at Majaktiit has been encountering number of confrontation with armed civilians in Warrap state in an effort to end the conflict.
